Pneumonia

Pneumonia is responsible for more childhood deaths every year than any other disease.  Crucial in its treatment is concentrated oxygen, which generally requires electricity to produce.

In many remote communities, the thought of electricity is a distant reality. This leads to the notion of using oxygen therapy as being equally remote.

Recognising the immeasurable difference that oxygen therapy would have on the lives of countless children suffering from pneumonia, the FREO team put their heads together to investigate the previously insurmountable goal of  providing an electricity free supply of medical-grade oxygen. Currently, we are developing two devices, FREO2-SIPHON and FREO2-LPOS.
